world,
One far removed from reality's
nightmare
Miles away from bitter cold truth,
miles from
All the uncertainties that haunt
our days.
Bringing disasters into our waking
hours,
Disasters hammered home on cable
news shows
Over and over the news clip plays,
Until you're certain it's the most
awful
Thing to ever happen to the
country, and
The world; at least until tomorrow,
When the news will find a new
target to exploit,
All in the name of ratings: "This
disaster brought to you by..."
