My Sometimes Companion

My Sometimes Companion

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Just sometimes

"

Abandoned; left to fend for myself

I'm alone in here, except for one feeling

Fear has never left me; in fact, it has only

Grown stronger; pounding on the locked door,

Looking over my shoulder, whispering

In my ear; 'nothing ever worked out for you';

What if?

A little play om words there (yeah, VERY little!)
You have to stand up to fear. If it looks over your shoulder, glare back at it. If if whispers in your ear, yell at it.

Easier said than done; but I know you're right!
You aren't alone Mikey and I told you ignore those voices they are just pissed you won't let them come out to play.We all have them trying to make us feel alone and doubt ourselves :)

I write for fun; I write comedy pieces and some dramatic stuff. I have no formal writing education, and I have a fear of being told I suck, and maybe I should give up on writing, and get a job makin.. more..
