My view of the nasty old world

 

Is not good; it's enough to bring

 

Nightmares to your eyes; people killing

 

People in the name of a peaceful God

 

Their perverted interpretation of an

 

Ancient text; somehow, they think

 

It's not a contradiction to call themselves

 

Religious on one hand, and think

 

It's okay to kill anyone who doesn't

 

Believe exactly as they do on the other

 

Black man in the White House equals

 

Unacceptable for some; but they're not racists;

 

No, they just disagree with his policies;

 

They say this out of one side of their mouth;

 

While they're spouting hate-filled rhetoric

 

Out of the other; it sure seems to me

 

code for, "He's not my president!"

 

Yes, the view from my face is all turbulence

And trouble; I realize that's not a healthy

 

 Way to see things, but oh well!

Yoy're seeing things from both sides, and that's a healthy way to think. I was for Obama when he first ran for president; I saw him as fresh and dynamic, a an who would get things done. It has worked out very badly, but he is still "my president" until some one else is.

I think he, along with us, his supporters, underestimated the lengths the opposition would go to to oppose him. It's sad really; he and the country is being ripped off by the do-nothing opposition. No, do-nothing isn't the right word; haters is more like it. You can look at it as him coming up short on what he promised, or, like me, you can just be glad he's got through the things he has. I don't think I've EVER seen thing so partisan, ever!
