The Negative HammerA Poem by Michael StevensJust sometimes; lifeWhen it rains, it pours I've heard
it be said
Yes, there are days, years, decades
where that is so true
Sometimes, you couldn't catch good
luck
With a net, or scoop it up in a
bucket
Oh, you've tried, but The Negative
Hammer
Keeps beating you on the head,
Keeps pounding on your brain
Until you finally give up, you
surrender,
You just accept the inevitable, the
truth
Now when you wake, you wonder
what'll
Happen bad today? If not today, maybe tomorrow?
