Unwelcome

Unwelcome

Unwelcome

From out of the blue, the blues hit me

Like an old nemesis from deep in the past

Nemesis and I have gone around and around

Before, although the about what has

Changed; I want to shout, "You're unwelcome here!"

But if I did, people would look at me funny,

And pat me on the shoulder and in a loud voice, say

"EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY!" like someone would

When they think I'm hard of hearing; or something someone would say to their pet dog

During a thunder storm; so I'd just better

Keep it to myself; thoughts that don't do anyone

Any good, let anyone me; I feel to even give

Them voice will somehow make them come true,

So I won't get into the what; the why I know all too

Well; to torture myself with the what-ifs!

Thoughts of the past don't do anyone any good; especially the thoughs about what could and should have been done differently...

I know, but that doesn't stop me from thinking them!
