The Stranger's ReflectionA Poem by Michael StevensEvery once in a while
There's a
face, a stranger's face, staring back
At me from
the mirror; a face I don't recognize,
A cruel,
sneering face; a face devoid of empathy,
A face that
haunts me after all these years,
It's a
strangers reflection;
He
certainly looks like me
And yet he
cannot possibly be,
Because he
has said things and acted in ways
That I would
have never said or done
And yet it
must be me © 2014 Michael StevensReviews
