The Void Beneath My HatA Poem by Michael StevensThe Painful Truth! There's a mysterious void where
thoughts go to die,
Where the mess can be cleaned up,
using two-ply
Where humor is confused with drama,
good
Confused with terrible, and
shouldn't with should
The ruler of this land looks a lot like
me
That something shouldn't be said,
he just can't see
He really should pay more attention
to the words transcribed,
He knows he needs to pull his head out; he
really tries,
But he just plows straight ahead
and writes stuff anyway
Be it a terrible story, a terrible
poem, or a terrible play! © 2014 Michael Stevens |
