Nothing's Different

Nothing's Different

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Same old, same old!

"

Marking time, marking nothing, marking the sameness

The calendar says it's a different day, but I'd be

Hard pressed to prove it; nothings different, nothing's changed

Just another day older, another day less wise

The same old same old stories dominating cable news

Some wise soul is undercutting the president

The powerful lobby's are running the show;

Common sense and the will of the people are crushed

Under several tons of money
