I Kicked My Own A*s!A Poem by Michael StevensMe vs. me!
(I hope those two are teeing off on each other's nuts, and not checking each other out!)
******
I don't want to brag; oh, the hell
I don't!
I kicked my own a*s; and it was no
problem
I told myself to stop that fricking
sniveling and whining
And man up! Oh sure, the sniveling whiny me told myself
to shut up,
But what was he going to do? I know him like
I know myself and I knew that he'd
fold up
Like a cheap-a*s tent in a
windstorm, and I knew all I had
To do was breath heavy and he'd go
down--err--maybe
I should rephrase that? Let's say instead that I knew
He'd back down; I just faked a
punch and he, or I, I guess,
Cowered in the corner like the
pansy he is;
I told him he should be more like
me, self-assured
And sure I'm right, even when I'm
wrong! © 2015 Michael StevensReviews
