I Kicked My Own A*s!

I Kicked My Own A*s!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Me vs. me!

"

(I hope those two are teeing off on each other's nuts, and not checking each other out!)

******

I don't want to brag; oh, the hell I don't!

I kicked my own a*s; and it was no problem

I told myself to stop that fricking sniveling and whining

And man up!  Oh sure, the sniveling whiny me told myself to shut up,

But what was he going to do?  I know him like

I know myself and I knew that he'd fold up

Like a cheap-a*s tent in a windstorm, and I knew all I had

To do was breath heavy and he'd go down--err--maybe

I should rephrase that?  Let's say instead that I knew

He'd back down; I just faked a punch and he, or I, I guess,

Cowered in the corner like the pansy he is;

I told him he should be more like me, self-assured

And sure I'm right, even when I'm wrong!

Its about time this bout came to the ring. Im glad you won. I suppose you telegraphed a lot of your punches to you so it could't have been an easy fight.
The best man won anyway Mike. You'd have been hard to stick if you'd have beaten you.
I like this - so surreal its probably happened already in another universe.
