English is Hard to Figure!

Language stew!

                                                              

Too?  Two?  To?  English is an ungodly mess

 

There?  They're?  Their?  Whoever made it up was drunk I guess

 

I mean, too lazy to think up a different word?

 

I think anyone trying to learn it would concur!

 

It must be tough for someone not used

 

To it, they must get mighty confused!

 

As a language it's kitchen sink stew,

 

Hell to learn--if only newbies knew!

 

Heck, I was raised on it, and it still sometimes makes no sense,

 

A high and mighty language that has the pretense

 

Of being difficult to learn, and maybe it is

 

All I know is it's the only game in town for me, when you're talking Language Biz!

Enjoyed the first two instances and also the one from the comic. Could've added more of those instances to make it spicy and whatsmore you'd never have run out of instances too. I loved the theme and the idea behind this one!

I don't know who made up all these rules, but I don't think they were drunk. I think a whole bunch of people got together and did it, and when ever a lot of people get together to do something, they're inclined to make a mess of it. Stew, in other words.
