All the Time in the World

All the Time in the World

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

procrastination

"

There's no hurry, I'll take care of it tomorrow.

I've got all the time in the world, and I know

there's plenty of time to do all I want to do

say all I want to say, I surely want to rue

nothing, but I've got all the time in the world--time

enough for taking it slow, and for me to find

the perfect way to say the things that need to be said.

Yeah, I'm sure tomorrow I'll be able to look ahead

with clearer eyes to see the way forward,

because the way right now is murky and blurred.

I just need some time to make the right choice,

to make the right call, to gather my voice.

Yes, there's all the time in the world to make

sure that it's just so, cause it all gives me a headache.

Yes, plenty of time is what I've got,

unless it turns out that there's not.

Procrastination never ends well. If you keep puttting off today what you can do tomorrow, eventually you run out of days.
