Running to NowhereA Poem by Michael StevensThe light-speed world![]() Everybody's got to hurry, hurry,
hurry. Yes, in a rush to get where,
exactly?
It's a light speed panic to get nowhere
fast, like we run far enough, we can
escape our past.
We seem to live at perpetual high
speed, and I still don't exactly
understand the need.
Used to be it was day and night. Now it's constant motion under neon
lights.
Can't waste a second, it's go, go,
go. Just where the fire is, I do not
know. © 2015 Michael StevensReviews
