Hidden in Plain Sight

Hidden in Plain Sight

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Elusive

"

There's something that many seek,

but it proves so elusive, few find.

It seems to be a master at concealment,

excellent at camouflage, it hides in the dark

of your blackest thoughts, laughing, plotting on

ways to stay secret, how it can stay hard to find.

Whispers seductively in your ear, "Here I am!"

But when you look, no one is there.

Yes, it's a tricky one, that Piece Of Mind.

Clever play on words.
Seems we all have a little "piece" of mind that we can't quite catch up with...
