America, Land of the Free*A Poem by Michael Stevens*some restrictions apply Sarcasm! Bah, separation of church and state. Our founding fathers were wrong
with their slate, of rules, so wrong with their mistaken
belief that it is dangerous to mix
religion and politics, chief among them. I believe what I
believe, and if you disagree, I don't want any interaction
between you and me. I know that you are wrong, and I am
right. Your skewered version of things is
a blight on what those of us who are
correct. Anything else is just a cult or a
dangerous sect. Some people say I'm doing exactly
what the terrorists do, seeking to force warped beliefs
on me and you, but God told me one night in a
dream, that those wayward sons beliefs are
blaspheme.

I believe that am here, and we
should be slamming the door on any others who would just want
the same chance. I'm for building a wall, 10 feet high,
topped with barbed wire. If you think the same, hey, you're
preaching to the choir. Manned by armed guards, who
make sure to keep out all others who want a new life, a
new beginning. I doubt they'll work hard, they're probably
all criminals anyway. You'd be wise to heed my warning,
to listen to what I say.
You may think of me as intolerant,
but right is right. You stand in the dark, and I stand
in the light if you're not in lockstep with
everything I believe. That I could be mistaken, I cannot
conceive.
