When Did the World Turn to S**t?

When Did the World Turn to S**t?

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

The glass is half empty version

"

Went to sleep one night and everything was fine,

woke up the next morning and everything's sinking, a rapid decline.

What the hell happened to the world I used to know?

Everything is misery, everywhere I look I see more woe.

War is all around, whatever happened to 'love thy neighbor'?

Now it's blood in the streets, peaceful co-existence has fallen out of favor.

And everywhere I turn, the nightmare visions make no sense.

We hide behind a wall, cause terror's on the other side of the fence.

People using religion, not to preach peace and harmony,

no, they use it as an excuse for killing and butchery.

We're just sitting here waiting for the next sad turn of the card,

for the next twist of fate, to watch in disbelief, as our senses are jarred.

Seems I woke up to a nightmare, a world turned upside down.

Smiles are hard to come by, in this funhouse ghost town

And there's plenty of other thing to worry about.

We're living on the edge of the abyss, without a doubt.
