Over the Top?

Over the Top?

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Naw!

"

I've heard it from many--dude, too much!
that I went over the line, just a touch

by comparing Trump to Hitler, some let me have it.
I thought that for a long time, until his late jaw-flapping s**t.

Now I don't think The Donald actually hates like Herr Ball,
But just that they sound similar, the rhetoric's alike, that's all.

Blaming all our troubles on a single group, oh, how convenient!
Bravado talk about making the call to no longer be so lenient.

The very thought there's even one voter out there who thinks he's right,
scares me halfway to Hades, and that's a long, long  way--it's a blight

on the portrait of America's being the land of the free,
except if you're from somewhere else, and don't look like me.
