Still and All...

Still and All...

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

How I truly feel

"

Still and All...

Still and all, with everything I criticize about the state of our affairs,

I wouldn't live anywhere else, period. Ours is a system that was unlike any other, a government of, and for, the people, where

we decide where we want to go, which course to sail.

It's just that lately, I've seen a shift, away from 'we the people,'

and more towards 'they, the special interests.' There's no doubt

our system is broken, that our voices are being drown out by

the voices of greed, and wealth, and the power-hungry.

Having said that, this is still the greatest show in town.

That I'm free to say the way I feel is something not

a lot of other country's have, and I'm grateful.
