Heed the!

Can you see the flashing light of danger ahead?

There's a blacked-out Ship of Fools, being led

 

by an ego-king who wants to rule the land,

our land, a land built on acceptance of all, and

 

tolerance, but if you listen to him, we should keep others out.

He sees his path to glory by playing on our fears and doubts,

 

His is a cynical, self-centered vision of everything ending soon.

It's like a new cartoon, 'Thinking Light and Several Buffoons',

 

only this cartoon should be seen as deadly serious.

Because most of the 'ideas' they are proposing are simply preposterous.

 

Their 'thinking' would take us back to the wonderful dark age of 1652

Their philosophy about the rest of the world is, 'screw you!'

 

They don't believe in science, or seemingly education besides.

They want us scared, and looking for a place to hide.

 

Now, I don't doubt that they truly believe we're all in mortal danger,

but to spit in the face of all outsiders, and every stranger?

 

They'd have us all put the 'closed' sign up in the window,

and prepare for the end of days, with their 'panic!' show.
