Just a Thought...

Today's political beast--inflexibility

If you're a Republican, I'll give you time to scroll away

from the reaming words I'm about to say:

 

Ready, are you gone yet? Good, then I'll begin.

It seems to me, America is taking it on the chin

 

with your vendetta, for whatever reason, to

personally ream the president. All I see you do

 

is blast his every word, no matter the topic.

Most of us are tired of your verbal games, and sick

 

of your automatic 'no'. Hey, here's a thought,

maybe try working with him, instead of acting all overwrought,

 

and acting like he's the enemy--hey, we're all in this together.

If we work together, we can triumph over any nasty weather.

 

I always was taught that 'compromise' is how our system works,

but it's being held hostage by some inflexible jerks.

 

I can't believe you mean the crap you say,

meanwhile, it's us, the American people, who have to pay.

 

While you Nero's fiddle, America burns,

unless your 'no's' become 'yes' and your whole philosophy turns.
