Explaning the Inexplicable

Trying to explain the Trump phenomenon, and all the rest of them.

Please, allow me to tell you why you're fooling yourself

if you're a working person, how, you left common sense on the shelf.

 

Do you think that money will somehow magically trickle down

and get within five hundred miles of downtown, when they all live uptown?

 

Do you really this mega-millionaires give a s**t about you?

That someone who's Main Street, and their collar's blue,

 

is going to ever become a blip on some rich dude's radar?

If you believe it will, I find that unbelievable, and totally bazaar.

 

Some rich guy, in both money and ego, pulls the old snake charmer routine,

and hypnotizes you through the magic of the T.V. screen.

 

I mean, how else to describe such a crude person holding sway--

I guess it's the politics of the absurd, in our crazy world of today.
