The View From Mike's Face, Again!

Another anti-media rant!

"

I saw on CNN exactly what is wrong with today's media. Former senator Tom Harkin was John Berman's (dislike must run in the name!) guest, and Berman, instead of asking Harkin, who's a Hillary supporter, to highlight the differences between Hillary and Bernie politically, which would have been the professional journalist's route, he asked him, "What's so bad about Sanders?". It was so obvious he was trying to start a feud between the two. So, instead of the voter maybe learning something substantive, we got this divisive question that any smart politician would sidestep, and for good reason, and that's exactly what Harkin did. Instead of informing voters, he tried to cause a meaningless fight, because that would have made a juicier story. It's just the latest example of why we're all getting ripped off by the media. Here's a thought, media--instead of trying to be the new Jerry Springer, why not try to be the new Walter Cronkite?
