Candy Vs. Meatloaf!

Candy Vs. Meatloaf!

A Story by Michael Stevens

Political realities, in my opinion!

First  off, for those of you who are sick of political stuff, yes the following is another one, so leave, now--you've been warned--are you safely away yet? Okay, let's get this party started!

I'm throwing in the towel, waving the white flag, on hoping for the media to be fair to Hillary. It's become clear to me (well, opaque anyway!) that they're for Bernie, at least until he becomes the frontrunner. I like him, too, I just question whether he can win--in my opinion, he's talking candy, when reality's meatloaf. I felt the way his supporters feel when Obama burst onto the scene. I figured 'here we go!', but meatloaf got in the way of candy. The Republicants opposition was so strong, it caught me by surprise, and certainly President Obama. I think he's done a remarkable job, considering the useless Republican limb he's had to lug around.

In my opinion, the stuff Sanders is offering is candy, but actually governing is meatloaf. His proposals have no chance of making it through the Republicants maze of obstruction. I can only hope that the voters will tune out the downer rhetoric on any channel, but especially Fox, although no self respecting Democrat would be watching their lie-fest, anyway, but I hope I find several million dollars buried in the yard, too. In other words, it ain't going to happen! I completely understand the hopes Sanders offers, but I'm afraid meatloaf will get in the way!
