I know this is going to upset a lot of my Democrat friends, I hope not soon-to-be ex-friends--I've reached the conclusion that if Hillary is elected president, it will be despite the media. Every story about Hillary has a negative bent. If you're a supporter of Bernie Sanders, that's okay, I think he's a decent, likable guy, but I feel that the things he's proposing--have no chance of being passed by the do-nothing Republican-held house, and maybe not even the senate. They're saying that Bernie offers hope and change, and Hillary's offering a cup of cold water in your face. In my mind, she's just being realistic. There is no way any of Bernie's proposals would make it through, and become law. I've already talked about how I've been through the optimism that Bernie supporters now have, with President Obama. The level of obstruction, and yes, hatred of him, soon cured my optimism, and the things he was proposing weren't nearly as grandiose as Sanders. Please, don't get me wrong, I would like to see most of his proposals implemented, but I just don't feel like they'll fly with the pathetic downer congress. I'm afraid my days of over-the-rainbow dreaming are over.
