Cult of Persona--Err--Negativity!

Cult of Persona--Err--Negativity!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

WAKE UP!

"

"What we have here--is a failure to understand,"or, a mass

blindness of people to see the truth--yes, the day is fast

approaching when it'll be too late--what's to explain this man's popularity?

He's crude, insults everyone, and lacks both empathy and sincerity.

Seems the more outrageous things this Cult of Negativity says,

the more popular he becomes, in his quest to become pres.

It must be that Republican voters are in an inexplicable trance.

Zombies on auto-pilot are giving this guy his big chance.

How else to describe this enthusiasm to turn a deaf ear, a blind eye

to everything he spouts that goes against their interests--explain why

to me, cause I truly don't understand--what are the possible reasons?

It's like chowing down on steak, when you're a lifetime vegetarian,

simply because The Donald says meat is the best.

One day soon, if you don't wake up like yesterday, in the contest

for president, you'll come to in the middle of the freeway,

in your underwear, with no idea how you got there--the awful day

is fast approaching, it's not too late--WAKE UP and

pull your zombie heads out of the hateful and negative sand!

Easy to explain Michael. Trump is giving them what they want desperately to hear and they only hope he is sincere in what he says. For far too many years the conservatives have elected people to offices who promises they had uttered during various campaigns, only to go to Washington, and once there they seem to have forgotten their campaign promises and let the the Democrats roll all over them without even putting up a fight. The voters are tired of it, foul mouth or not, they have endorsed this man Trump, I include myself. If he were to get elected and turns his back on those who elected him as has been done for decades I'm just not sure what will happen next.

Fair enough, but I don't think I crossed the line into rude.
