Trip Through the Void!A Poem by Michael StevensRolf says, come on!![]() Verse: If you're thinking this is about a
trip to outer space, sorry to disappoint--this is about
just above my face!
It's like going on a demented fifty-three
year tour, a forced march through warped
synopsis de-jour!
Pre-Chorus: You really ought to see it through
my eyes, it just gets more effed up, the
harder I tries!
Verse: "My name is Rolf, and I'll be your
tour guide guy, You'll see some wacky s**t, you'll
wonder why
Mike's still loose to terrorize the
land, neither reality nor facts are under
his command!"
Repeat Pre-Chorus:
Chorus:
So join Rolf, for a Trip Through
the Void. At first, it'll seem empty of
thought, devoid of damn near everything, but hold
the phone, Charlie! It's like going on a crazy-man's
safari!
Verse: Shards of ideas burst out from the
dark, and while they all fall well short
of the mark,
they're at least entertaining in a
sad sort of way. But when the tour is over, at least
you can say:
After-Chorus: "I survived, lived to tell the
tale, and now I can go home, which is more than I can say for
him, and his idiot's dome!"
Repeat Chorus:
End
