DownTrumposis!

DownTrumposis!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

A terrible affliction!

"

Verse:

I'm not a well man, not well at all!

Seems I can't help my electronic scrawl,
rant, or whatever you'd like to call the disease.

My fingers have a mind of their own--please,

Pre-Chorus:

I'm begging you, if you know of a cure, a way

to make it stop--really getting tied of starting my day

like this--my brain is going insane!

Verse:

Seems I cross the line of appropriate and just keep on going,

after seeing what I'm seeing, chunks of incredibility I'm blowing!

Can't keep anything down when I see his hate-filled face,

and it's on constantly, the damn thing is all over the place!

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

I'm suffering from DownTrumposis,

seems I get it from the T.V. through osmosis.

Can't stop my fingers from their anti-rant,

even though I want to stop, I fricking can't!

Verse:

This insidious virus has taken complete control,

I'm like an inmate with zero chance of parole.

It starts by attacking common sense, then the soul is next.

I've tried will power, but that didn't work, and I'm still perplexed!

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

End
