Thinking Man's (And Woman's, ESPECIALLY Women's) Armageddon

 

     The end times are here, the nightmare has come to pass, Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president. It has been obvious for months, but I had been holding out hope that rational, level-headed Republicans would find a way to stop him, but 'rational' and 'Republican' is a misnomer. Oh sure, there was the occasional seemingly-rational voices saying he would never be the nominee, but those voices have bowed to what the media did their best to bring about, Nominee Trump. I must admit, I just don't get it. He's said things that are the opposite of the supposed things the right wing is fighting for. Now, I happen to be opposed to most of them, quite vehemently, but at least they were ideals--misguided, but ideals none-the-less. Now, all of those are forgotten in their panic to defeat the hated Democrats. I've heard them defending him--well, you can rationalize him to yourself till you're red (I know it should be 'blue', but...!) in the face, but the fact of the matter is you're defending a respect less, ego-driven, woman-hating, guy that gives cavemen a bad name. I fail to see why ANY woman would support him--I don't want to see what his warped reality show-style of governing would look like, and I can unfortunately see all-too clearly the unbelievable amount of damage he'll do, is already doing, to our national image!
