Alright, so you caught me, big deal,

so, I just couldn't wait to have a meal!

 

Hey, who's your buddy--who's your pal?

Please stop yelling, you're affecting my morale!

 

You're--wait, I think I missed a crumb,

there, okay, don't give me that 'dumb

 

mutt' look--I tell ya, you're bringing me down.

You're threatening to erode all the self-confidence I found,

 

besides, don't you see me furiously waging my stub?

That's my way of saying 'sorry for my flub!'

 

How can you possibly stay mad, look at this face,

besides, my heart at least was in the right place!
