The Ultimate Table Leg!

The Ultimate Table Leg!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

A BAD job!

"
Was so excited when I landed this job,

but I've reconsidered--everything throbs!

My knees, my legs, and especially my back,

I guess my everything is out of wack!

"We need someone to hold up our table,

all you have to do is stand there," what a fable!

I should have known there'd be a catch,

that several of my limbs will need to be reattached!

I also should have known that without school,

I'd have to take a blue collar job--what a fool!

Now, there's plenty of jobs that you'd call a trade

that are honorable, but don't require higher education's aid,

but I'm here to tell you, this ain't one of them, this one is bad!

You should just ignore that 'Furniture Stand Wanted' ad!

Finding this picture was funny enough. Your heartfelt analysis carried as much artistic weight as your supporting Sumo. Thanks for providing such a belly laugh.
