Loud Blast Day!

Loud Blast Day!

A Story by Michael Stevens
"

Trying to understand the allure!

"

Verse:

It’s a day when both children and adults act like kids,

and both reason and common sense seem to hit the skids.

Now, kid’s, I can sort of understand their enjoyment,

but with adults, my understanding drops to zero percent.

Pre-Chorus:

Add alcohol to the mix, what could possibly go wrong?

Exploding s**t and liquor make for singing The Idiot Song!

Verse:

That pets are scared, freak out, and often bail,

doesn’t seem to matter to those seeking gunpowder’s holy grail.

Uncle Frank, with glass in hand, lights the fuse of doom,

and staggers unsteadily away to hear it go ‘boom!’

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

Run for the hills, it’s Loud Blast Day,

an excuse to go crazy, it’s light and get away.

But too often, in their drunken state,

their remains get washed down the sewer grate!

Repeat 1st verse:

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

End
