Reactionary Pandemic

What the hell is happening to us?

I'm watching with disbelief what's happening here,

with support for terrifying extremes and irrational fear.

But it's not us alone, who seek simple solutions

to complex problems--who're mired in panic and confusion,

no, it seems to be a condition that's world wide.

Seems the next crisis hits before the tears have dried

from the last one--so, in typical kneejerk reaction,

we latch onto any simplistic answers that gains traction.

I guess it's a sad reality around the globe today,

that we're so keen to listen to the words a blowhard does say,

who should have been laughed of the screen long before now.

A Reactionary Pandemic--if you will, a whole planet mad cow!
