Hotel California Kinship!

Hotel California Kinship!

A Story by Michael Stevens
"

Nauseating, non-stop media coverage!

"

I understand the frustration behind these Eagles lyrics--'they stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast," from the song 'Hotel California'. Believe me, if I could stab my T.V. without becoming a high-voltage human conduit, I would. The kneepad-wearing media coverage, non-stop, and nauseating, is totally embarrassing. I knew going into the election season that the amount of media coverage would be bad, but I didn't think it would reach pandemic sickness levels. The reporters literally were grovelling for any bit of 'news' to stand out from the 42,786 other reporters trying for the same thing, and for what? A news-worthy subject to break that would be of interest to the American people? Hell no, about who would be Trump's VP pick. True, an important story, but earthshaking? I tried to find something, anything else to watch, but every other news network was airing the same damn thing. In fact, here's an idea, networks, have a prime time "Battle of The Network Knee-Padders" in which reporters compete to see who has the most ridiculous waste-of-time story about The Donald, or the 100-yard high heel dash for the women reporters, or a cross dressing Wolf Blitzer? Either way, it would be far better than the crap they're saturating the airways with now!
