Insipid Is Universal

A world-wide plague

From around the globe comes stupidity,

it's not limited to here in the land of the free,

home of the brave, with their voices screaming hate

and making excuses for why intolerance is okay, they bait

those who think differently, when exactly did society start to 

devolve?

For sure there's a myriad of complex problems for us to solve,

but people don't want to think that hard, it's easier to listen to 

the simplistic

rhetoric being spewed by one small percentage, who run off at 

the mouth and go ballistic

at any talk of compromise, and who advocate a return to the so-

called good old days.

The only problem with that is everything, are their morals 

getting lost in the haze?
