When I was Twenty Five...

When I was Twenty Five...

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

All I've learned

"
When I was 25, I thought I was so mature,

When I was 30, I thought that even more.

When I was 35, I got my head bashed in in a car wreck.

When I was 40, I was lost, and not sure of anything.

When I was 45, I took stock of all I had to show for my life.

When I was 50, I was still messed up, and felt the end coming on.

T

hen came 53, and I realized I didn't know s**t when I was 25,

and I realized it made me a little demoralized, all those years,

so I thought 'why did I write this?'
