Routine

Routine is our friend, give me tried and true.

I'm too set in my ways to be trying something new.

I'm well aware that it makes me older than old,

but give me routine, anything else leaves me cold!

When I was younger, I used to not understand

but now that I'm like aged fine wine, I'm a changed man.

It may be boring, it may be a downer to you, but,

I say if you welcome chaos, you're off your nut!

Yes, give me the normal, the same old song and dance,

cause I don't deal with change very well, say 'no!' to fun enhanced!

I like this poem, explains just how much you like routine, you like to know and plan out things, your proud of it and its who you are.
This poem is very real and I love the rhyme scheme.
I HATE change to it is so scary haha. so I can relate with that.

Michael, this is pretty good. A fun piece that has a hint of philosophy about it. I like it. Don't give up writing, even with little formal education you write well. Keep it up. Don't fear being told you suck, fear that no one is reading.
