I Used To Be...!

Poem Nazi's!

I used to be...handsome, as anyone you've ever seen.

When I think of my former handsomeness, oh, what might have been?

Now, I'm aware that 'seen' and 'been' don't actually rhyme,

but just pretend, work with me here, for I don't have the time

for 'rules' and other literal crap, I'm working without a net.

If you're one of those 'poemy purists', well, I'd also bet

you wouldn't know 'funny' if it bite you on the a*s,

and are the kind of person who'll flip me s**t, and won't let pass

any perceived veerage away from rules, which are set in stone.

I tell you what, pal why don't you just leave me alone?

Now, I had a point, which caused me to lie, and why

I can't remember what it was, and I blame you, try

to understand, it's nothing personal, oh, what the hell?

I think you're a bottom feeder, about that, can't you tell!
