The Day AfterA Poem by Michael StevensCollaboration between Hullabaloo22 and myself![]() The
day after the election, we'll still be treated to the thrilling
sight, and sounds, of The D-Man, 'cause he'll not just fade into that good night,
no, he's hooked on the spotlight, and the media's wearing knee pads. and are thrilled to give it to him, no, we're gonna be booted in the 'nads,
by having to watch him on his forced-on-us hatred platform. from which he'll lie, lie, lie, lie some more, and misinform
what is apparently an all-too-willing-to-believe-him hardcore few, who won't listen to reason, or trust easily-verifiable fact, so we're screwed!
No, he’s not going to accept defeat, won’t take it laying down, he’ll be shouting ‘Foul’ and ‘It’s a fix’ just like some deranged clown.
He has to be the winner or else he’ll just lose face; no, that won’t be the end of it if he don’t get first place.
An absolute demolishing would not change his mind, he’ll be bringing out his minions for discrepancies to find
and, hey, if they cannot find some, there’s sure to be debate and things will get too heated, and the suspicions they’ll create?
No, for weeks after, the fighting is sure to carry on, unless the unthinkable happens and there is a President Don.
