Touchdown!--Oh, Wait!

Political Jousting!

It seems to me something is fundamentally wrong

with our politics, when did it become that civility 

was gone,

or compromise, which is the very foundation

of a true democracy? I see a setting, not a rising sun.

Life and death reduced to the Super Bowl,

a winner-take-all sporting event, with annihilation 

the goal.

The Red team vs. the Blue team, each trying to crush 

the other.

A ship of derision, of hatred, is steered by this rudder.

It's now completely divided, 'we win, you lose!'

Polarized on a massive scale, the path we choose

is one of the most resistance, of all or nothing,

if we don't get it all, you're not going to get s**t!
