Alternative World ViewA Poem by Michael StevensHow do we agree on the facts, when we can't agree on what the facts are?![]() Sitting
here listening to what some voters swear is the truth. They believe things that never really happened, but do
or will they listen to reason when the truth is revealed? Hell no, they think the liberal media is out to conceal
what actually happened, they know because Fred from Possum, tweeted about it, then others repeated it, and Fred's not dumb.
You know, it's scary that people only listen to, that they're more apt to believe Fred from Possum, than the main-stream media; it's the great untapped
Truth Machine that is our the friends and like-minded neighbors, who are patriots, and will fight for the truth with AK-47's and sabers.
Some people a freaked out and frightened of things that will never come to pass, because somebody tweeted about such a dire, doom-filled forecast.
And, they get all their news from, and only believe one station, which has their own agenda, and their news is sometimes a fiction creation.
******
How did we get here, this parallel universe, this alternate reality? Where someone won't believe what they hear or what they see
from the main stream media, even shown video proof, and, in fact, are really likely to hit the roof,
and scream about voter fraud, voter tampering by the liberal wing, instead of living in the fact-based world the rest of us live in?
How are you supposed to counter-act those crazy beliefs? Seek shelter from the ignorant storm, to find a moment's relief?
I'm afraid there's no answer, when we have such a different vision of the truth, and the world; all I see is the inevitable collision.
