"Look Out For That Brick Wall!"

"Look Out For That Brick Wall!"

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

A warning

"
We've been down this road before,

and I don't want to see anymore.

The world is moving hard right,

a repeat of disaster, a blight

on every country that ignores history.

Anyone remember WWII? We'll see

exactly the same result if we're not careful,

isolationism doesn't work, people, it's a red rag to a

bull.

Like it or not, we're all interconnected and dependent

on everyone else--in the court of my opinion, we're all co-defendants.

I can't believe I woke up to an impending nightmare.

'Look out for that brick wall!' Heed this warning, 'beware!'

You are right my friend.

The above line true and scary part. People had forgot the old wars. They were hard days and times. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I wish people would learn. War kill people and cities. I pray for peace and leaders with wisdom.
