What happened?

The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams used to be a two-way street,

Respect and Class Street, but lately, never the two 

shall meet.

I've heard lately a lot of 'give the guy a chance', well, I

 will,

when he gives me a reason to, but so far, he's done nil

to earn my respect, in fact, everything he does, says, 

and acts,

is an embarrassment, and you can defend the guy all 

you want, but the facts

are clear, he's an unprecedented clown, a used car 

salesman on steroids, who

has done nothing to earn my respect, with all he says, 

do

you really expect me give the guy the benefit of the 

doubt? Respect and Class Street

used to be a stately boulevard, but not anymore, not 

with The King Of The Tweet.

Exactly the point I was making with a rant I had today. You can't respect the office when the man makes a mockery of the office at every turn. I have met elementary school kids with better manners. He continues to tweet and sputter, shout and utter -- no admission of impropriety, no humility, no shame -- give me a break. Him and Putin, two school yard bullies, running the world.

Pardon me for interjecting KL but you seem like a good well-rounded American to me - sensible I mean (without any offence meant) and I genuinely get frightened when I see the like of yourself saying things like 'not respecting the office'.
I have relatives on my mother's side who live in Ohio and I thought their speak was just hyperbole but now I feel there's genuine revolutionary talk in the States. Is that a fair assessment?

Ahh -- sorry, I may be overstepping, as I am Canadian. We're kind of stuck over here. I figure at some point Trump will offer Poutin Canada as a door prize, and my grandkids will be Russian.

Funny how Canadians just assume everyone knows what Poutine is. I introduced it to a number of people in northeastern Brasil as a "Canadian food" along with pancakes and maple syrup. The family I lived with couldn't get over the concept of tapping trees in winter, or pulling fish out of holes in the ice.

Wow I think either of those food gathering acts would have made my jaw drop too KL. And I'd have been banned for boring holes in all the countries maples.
