Why Bother?

Why Bother?

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Arguing with paranoid!

"
I've been debating a guy who sees black when it's white,

who dismisses the truth as just the liberal media.

You'd have a better chance of sprouting wings

and heading for the clouds than making your point.

He's drank so much of the Fox Kool-Aid,

his eyes are brown! Well, that makes no sense,

but you see what I'm up against? Logic and reason,

you can throw out the window, you have to think

paranoid so you're at least on the same plane.

Thank you much, B-law!
Politics are very polarizing, with both sides not liking to bend. I personally am a fiscal conservative, with a very socially liberal view. There is no political party in North America that truly fits all the ideals I would like to see in government. Most of us pick the lesser of the ills and hope for the best ... but when it comes to arguments, neither side seems capable of seeing the other's point of view. Which is why, I am afraid we might be in for 8 years instead of 4, because people see it as a right or left, black or white thing.
