On our way to an alternate reality

I don't like what I see happening with Dump's executive order banning immigration from several Muslim countries. It reminds me that we're perilously close to repeating the same horrible mistake we made against Japanese Americans during WWII. Granted, no internment camps, yet, but making Americans distrust and fear a certain group, based on only one set of criteria, in this case, Muslims, goes against one of the things America was founded on, Freedom of Religion. It seems to me that about 30 percent of Americans, the fearful, are driving American politics. And this morning, Dump's chief of staff was on 'Face the Nation', trying to tell us that the overwhelming majority of Americans support the ban, when truth is, and polls vary from 62% down to 50%, most show a clear majority opposed, with only the majority of Dump voters agreeing with the ban. And, he said we would welcome Christian immigrants. Step-by-step, we're eroding the foundation of our democracy, and the thing will crash down around us. Supposedly, Americans are embarrassed by out attitude towards Japanese-Americans during WWII; yet we're taking the first steps down the same path.
