'There's Nothing To See There!'

'There's Nothing To See There!'

A Story by Michael Stevens

'Don't believe what your eyes are telling you what you just saw!'

I just watched the most unintentionally-funny news interview I've seen since this morning, when President Dump expressed his displeasure with the judge who declared his mess of a poorly-written immigration law unconstitutional. White house press secretary Sean Spicer was asked his opinion of Melissa McCarthy's hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch, in which she portrayed Spicer, and he said basically "I wish she'd tone it down," and went on to claim that "Saturday Night Live used to be funny, but they're not anymore." It reminded me of the scene in one of the 'Naked Gun' movies, where Leslie Nielson's character is telling everyone, 'Return to your homes, there's nothing to see here,' even while skyrockets and fireworks were going on behind him. Everyone, at least everyone with any sense of humor, thought the sketch with McCarthy was hilarious, but, like Nielson's character, Spicer kept insisting, 'there's nothing to see here!' I mean, how pathetic and desperate--if you don't like the picture presented, change the picture to one more to your own liking. He learned this trick from his boss!
