Day Of Eeyore

Day Of Eeyore

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

THAT day!

"
Woke, started to get up, then realized it's the dawning of Eeyore Day,

and my enthusiasm got itself up, sarcastically looked

around, and walked away.

No how-do-you-do, no 'maybe I shouldn't,' not even a

backwards glance,

she pissed on the fact we have a long history, and a

longer romance.

I can still remember the day I first saw her, over my

shoulder

in the magic mirror, while I brushed my teeth, and as

we've gotten older,

I thought what we had had grown into a comfortable

love,

but I realize as I watch her walk away, she'd made a

clown of

me (not a hard thing to do!)
