Zombies Dance

Zombies Dance

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

So macabre

"

There's a strange ritual taking place,

zombies with no eyes are dancing, in this case,

in the flames of the burning constitution

They've elected a leader who mocks that institution

Yet, they are oblivious to the carnage all around,

they're hypnotized by the sight and sound

of a ranting charlatan, leading them around by the

brain

It's a surreal sight, this macabre celebration is

completely insane

They fight for the right to have their lives destroyed,

by the very policies that he's employed

They being torn apart yet they'll never admit

to it, to being wrong, no, not a little bit
