'Can't You See?'

'Can't You See?'

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Definitely NOT 'Let It Be'!

"
The Beatles; 'Let It Be'

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be
Ah let it be, yeah let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Yeah let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
Oh there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah let it be
Oh there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Ah let it be, yeah let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

NOT The Beatles; 'Can't You See?'

When we find ourselves in times of trouble,
Uncle Donny's on T. V.
screaming words of anti, can't you see?
And in our hour of darkness,
he stokes the flame's even higher,
with words designed to separate
Can't you see? Why can't you see?
He's screaming words of anti, can't you see?

And when you finally do admit,
that you've been conned by this guy,
you still won't acknowledge it-can't you see?
for though you saw off your own nose,
there's not a chance you'll ever see,
we'll never have an answer
Can't you see?
can't you see?
guess there is just no answer,
Can't you see? Can't you see?
Can't you see--why can't you see?
He's screaming words of anti, can't you see?

Can't you see, can't you see?

just too many Kool-aid sights
He's screaming words of anti, can't you see?
And when the night seems pitch black,
he somehow makes it blacker still
Can't wait until tomorrow--can't you see?
I woke up to the sound of ranting,
Uncle Dumper's everywhere
Screaming words of anti--can't you see?
why, can't you see, can't you see?
Can't you see, can't you see
there is just no answer, inexplicable to me
Can't you see? Can't you see?
Can't you see, can't you see?

there is just no answer, inexplicable to me
Why can't you see? Can't you see?
Oh my God, why can't you see?
He's screaming words of anti, can't you see?

This is quite good, and a perfect satirical commentary on The Great Orange One.

I enjoyed it. Nicely penned.

Thank you much, Carol!
Good parody Mike as usual.
He's the gift that never stops giving - like a fart machine with a perpetual motion engine.

Yep, I tried to quit, but there's always something moronically new--thanks, Tony!
