Lost Soul Of America

Verse:

Stranger's face reflected from our collective mirror,

a new disregard of the things we used to hold dear

Principals be damned, it's every man for themselves

Greed and intolerance replace goodness in ourselves

Pre-Chorus:

And the bell, it tolls for thee,

it tolls for the end of what we used to be

Verse:

Willing to overlook the sad and obvious flaws

Questioning nothing; as crude takes over, humanity withdraws

It's easy to blame others, but hard to put blame on us

We watch as our society turn to ruin and rust

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

The lost soul of America, it happened in the blink of an eye

Some of us stare disbelieving, and try to understand why?

The lost soul of America lies bleeding; alone in the dark

We watch the delusion madness tearing our country apart

Verse:

What changed overnight, what evil lurks in our souls,

that we would tolerate, celebrate, I just don't know

Our future will be cold and dark, if we continue down this road

Our lives will be a disaster, as the nation explodes

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

END
