Raised hands and lowered skirts
Dim light for pale eyes
Hooded figures all around
All curvy and heads bowed

The spiders and mice of the forest
Are the only witnesses
When the moon sucks the blood
Straight from their wrists

This is a more scary version of witches than I am used to. The question mark over how the moon sucks the blood is particularly effective.
