Darling

One of my newer poems. Enjoy!

Darling,
Why do you cry?

Darling,
Wipe away your tears.

It is okay to be scared.
I understand.

This world,
Likes to take all of your words,
And use them against you.

Darling,
I know what that is like.

You want to show your
battered heart to me,
But,
You don't know where to begin.

Well,
Show me.
I promise that I won't take the exit,
and leave you.



Darling,
You and I have come so far,
With these broken hearts.



Darling,
Show me your wounds.

Show me your fears.
I promise you,
I am not this world.

Come on Darling,
Don't leave me like this.

I am not this cruel,
abstract world.

I love you too much,
To become the world on you.



Darling,
I understand.
